Shane and Mattea Davidson are accredited EA Specialist Level 2 Coaches  (formerly NCAS) with over 25 years of experience in training riders for dressage, showjumping and eventing. Their calm and effective teaching methods and their positive approach are highly popular with students.

 

Shane is a specialist Coach for Jumping. His coaching reflects his time in Germany, his message is straight out of the modern German riding canon – forward into a soft contact, the rider in balance, the horse in balance, and the horse doing the work.

 

Shane and Mattea work with their students to develop an optimised training plan for their horses, ensuring fitness, soundness, wellbeing and competition experience are all covered.

 

Mattea is a specialist Jumping and Eventing coach and the results speak for themselves. In recent years Mattea's students have won the 2017 Australian Eventing Young Rider Champion and 2016 Melbourne International 3 Day Event Junior Champion titles. With this kind of success it comes as no surprise that she has received consecutive nominations for the title of Queensland Coach of the Year, in 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
