Catargo family tree includes some of the worlds legendary Sires Capitol, Caletto 11, Cor De La Bryere, and Calypso 1. With this breeding he has ties to superstars such as Willi Melliger's Calvaro the stallion Come On and many more. He was Australia's first home bred representative at the 2005 World showjumping Championships for Young Horses in Lanaken Belgium ridden by Shane Davidson.

Catargo has been competing successfully at World Cup level and placed in many prestigious Grand Prix's such as the Betty McVean Memorial Cup and winning the Part B Championship at Brisbane Royal Show. Shane and Catargo have been on the Queensland Showjumping Elite squad from 2008-2010.

Catargo's offspring have also been competing in the Showjumping and Eventing disciplines with much success...

Fairbanks Cargo has been successfully competing with many wins and placing's up to Two Star level eventing. Cargo has also competed in Showjumping with success with multiple wins and placing's up to 1.35m level and competed in his first Mini Prix in 2010. In 2010 Cargo was a top-six finalist for Equestrian Queensland Horse of the Year! Cargo was placed 6th at Melbourne International Three Day Event in 2011.

Another son Fairbanks Caspar has had a successful showjumping career to date competing and placing at Mini Prix level. Caspar recently had his first World Cup start at Caboolture showing much promise for the future. Caspar has also had much success in the Futurity and Grand Prix classes having recently won the Future Stars class at Caboolture in August 2011.

To continue on with the winning streak, Catargo's half sister Fairbanks Elle has also proven to be a successful eventing and showjumping horse. Elle has multiple wins and placings in eventing up to One Star level and in 2010 and took out the prestigious Queensland Eventing Mare of the Year award. She has also proven to be a successful showjumping mare competing in classes up to 1.30m with multiple places and being placed 3rd in the 6 year old Barastoc Young Horse Series for 2011.
